As one might come to expect this wine is dry, jammy, and intense, but unlike most Amarone, Allegrini's demonstrates an uncharacteristic elegance and finesse.
A stunning vivid purple colouration, this wine opens with a wonderful bouquet of fig, tart-cherry, and raisin. When examined more closely complex notes of leather, chocolate and even traces of coffee find their way into the glass. The palate is expectedly dry with the prominent fruity flavour of plum set against a backdrop of vanilla bean.
This wine is the very embodiment of harmony and balance, and it exhibits an exceptionally long finish.
